-myo-P-1-(O-3-Aminopropyl)-Ins(1,4,5)P₃ has been synthesized from methyl α--glucopyranoside. This optically-pure tethered IP₃ derivative has been converted to a selective photoaffinity label for modification of the ligand binding site of IP₃ receptor proteins.
