Ismail A. Aiad received his PhD in physical chemistry from Zagazig
University. He is Professor of Applied Organic Chemistry at the
Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute (EPRI; Applied Surfactant
Laboratory), and a member of the board of the Chemical Services and
Development Center for Oil Field Chemicals. He is interested in the
synthesis and applications of surfactants materials.
Abdelfattah M. Badawi has a PhD degree in Applied Chemistry
from Azhar University and a DSc degree in Applied Organic
Chemistry from Toronto University. He is currently Professor of
Applied Organic Chemistry at the EPRI (Applied Surfactant Labo-
ratory) and scientific consultant to the Center of Excellence and
Technology, Ministry of Military Production. His research interests
are in the areas of both environmental and medicinal chemistry, with
special emphasis on antitumor agents.
