A new pregnane ester tetraglycoside designated as dregealin of a new genin named dregenin was isolated from the dried roots of Dregea lanceolata.Chemical and spectroscopic evidences were consistent with the structure 11-O-acetyl-marsdenin-3-O-4)-O-α-L-diginopyranosyl-(1->4)-O-β-D-cymaropyranosyl-(1->4)>-β-D-oleandropyranoside for dregealin.
