The authors report the preparation and structural characterization of three new monomers from sucrose. The monomers covered included a penta-methyl-(methyl-propenoyl)sucrose, a hexa-methylsucrose and a diamino-dideoxy-hexa-methylsucrose.The melting points, and optical rotations of the monomers were determined. Sugar-ring proton assignments were made by homonuclear correlation spectroscopy.
