Preparation: this chemical can be prepared by Hydrochloric acid and Hydrochloric acid. Chemical reaction is as follows:

Uses of Lithium chloride: it is mainly used for the production of lithium metal by electrolysis of a LiCl/KCl melt at 600 °C. LiCl is also used as a brazing flux for aluminium in automobile parts. Also, in biochemical applications, it can be used to precipitate RNA from cellular extracts. Lithium chloride is also used as a flame colorant to produce dark red flames. It is used as a desiccant for drying air streams. In more specialized applications, lithium chloride finds some use in organic synthesis.

It is highly flammable, harmful by inhalation, in contact with skin and if swallowed and may form explosive peroxides. Besides, this chemical is irritating to eyes, respiratory system and skin and can cause severe burns. It is danger of cumulative effects and May cause cancer.
