Phenazine Uses

Phenazine (CAS NO.92-82-0) is mainly used as intermediates of dye, medicine and organic synthesis. It is also used in the study of biochemical.

Phenazine Production

A classic method for the synthesis of phenazine is the reaction of nitrobenzene and aniline in the Wohl-Aue reaction (1901). Phenazine also can be maed by distilling the barium salt of azobenzoate and by passing aniline vapor over lead oxide.
It is also formed when ortho-aminodiphenylamine is distilled over lead peroxide.
