The systematic name of Ammonium molybdate is dihydroxy(dioxo)molybdenum - trioxomolybdenum (3:4) hexaammoniate tetrahydrate. Uses of Ammonium molybdate: It is used in the production of molybdenum metal, ceramics, dehydrogenation and desulphurisation catalysts. It is also used as an analytical reagent to measure the amount of phosphates, silicates, arsenates and lead in aqueous solution. In addition, this chemical is used in the fixing of metals, in electroplating and in fertilizers for crops.
