Uses of Poly(acrylamide):
One of the largest uses for Poly(acrylamide) is to flocculate or coagulate solids in a liquid. This process applies to wastewater treatment, and processes like paper making. Another common use is in subsurface applications such as Enhanced Oil Recovery. The ionic form of it has found an important role in the potable water treatment industry.Trivalent metal salts like ferric chloride and aluminium chloride are bridged by the long polymer chains of polyacrylamide.
When you are using Poly(acrylamide), please be cautious about it as the following:
1. Avoid contact with skin;
2. Avoid contact with eyes;
3. In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately (show label where possible);
4. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection;
5. Do not breathe gas/fumes/vapor/spray (appropriate wording to be specified by the manufacturer);
6. Avoid exposure - obtain special instruction before use;
