1116-43-4 Usage

General Description

Methylenebisiminodiacetonitrile, also known as MBAN, is a chemical compound commonly used as a stabilizer in the production of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) and styrene-acrylonitrile (SAN) polymers. It is also used as a key intermediate in the synthesis of certain pharmaceuticals and dyes. MBAN is highly soluble in water and has a relatively low vapor pressure, making it stable under normal storage conditions. It is considered to have low acute toxicity, but prolonged or repeated exposure to high concentrations of MBAN may cause skin and eye irritation, and respiratory problems. While the long-term health effects of MBAN exposure are not fully understood, proper handling and storage procedures should be followed to minimize potential risks.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 1116-43-4 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 1,1,1 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1116-43:
(6*1)+(5*1)+(4*1)+(3*6)+(2*4)+(1*3)=44
44 % 10 = 4
So 1116-43-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
