Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 24152-44-1 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 2,4,1,5 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 24152-44:
(7*2)+(6*4)+(5*1)+(4*5)+(3*2)+(2*4)+(1*4)=81
81 % 10 = 1
So 24152-44-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis and utility of dihydropyridine boronic esters

Panda, Santanu,Coffin, Aaron,Nguyen, Q. Nhu,Tantillo, Dean J.,Ready, Joseph M.

, p. 2205 - 2209 (2016)

When activated by an acylating agent, pyridine boronic esters react with organometallic reagents to form a dihydropyridine boronic ester. This intermediate allows access to a number of valuable substituted pyridine, dihydropyridine, and piperidine products.

Nickel-catalyzed cross-coupling of unactivated alkyl halides using bis(pinacolato)diboron as reductant

Xu, Hailiang,Zhao, Chenglong,Qian, Qun,Deng, Wei,Gong, Hegui

, p. 4022 - 4029 (2013/09/23)

The use of bis(pinacolato)diboron as the terminal reductant allows the efficient Ni-catalyzed coupling of unactivated secondary and primary alkyl halides, generating the C(sp3)-C(sp3) coupling products in good yields. The mild cataly

Nickel-Catalyzed reductive cross-Coupling of unactivated alkyl halides

Yu, Xiaolong,Yang, Tao,Wang, Shulin,Xu, Hailiang,Gong, Hegui

, p. 2138 - 2141 (2011/06/22)

A Ni-catalyzed reductive approach to the cross-coupling of two unactivated alkyl halides has been successfully developed. The reaction works efficiently for primary and secondary halides, with at least one being bromide. The mild reaction conditions allow for excellent functional group tolerance and provide the C(sp3)-C(sp3) coupling products in moderate to excellent yields.
