General Description

2-BROMO-5-(METHYLSULFONYL)PYRIDINE is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C6H6BrNO2S and a molecular weight of 227.09 g/mol. It is an organobromine compound, specifically a bromopyridine derivative, which contains a bromine atom and a methylsulfonyl group attached to a pyridine ring. 2-BROMO-5-(METHYLSULFONYL)PYRIDINE is commonly used as an intermediate in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and other organic compounds.
