Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 54571-06-1 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 5,4,5,7 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 54571-06:
(7*5)+(6*4)+(5*5)+(4*7)+(3*1)+(2*0)+(1*6)=121
121 % 10 = 1
So 54571-06-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis and antimycobacterial activity of pyrazine and quinoxaline derivatives
Seitz, Lainne E.,Suling, William J.,Reynolds, Robert C.
, p. 5604 - 5606 (2007/10/03)
A series of pyrazine and quinoxaline derivatives have been synthesized, and their activity against M. tuberculosis (Mtb) and Mycobacterium avium (MAC) are reported. The 4-acetoxy-benzyl ester of pyrazinoic acid and 4′-acetoxybenzyl 2-quinoxalinecarboxylate showed excellent activity against Mtb (MIC ranges of less than 1-6.25 μg/mL) but only modest activity against MAC (MICs of 4-32 μg/mL).
