Koryo, 118, 73-7 (Japanese) 1977. CODEN: KORYAR. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 17 (Foods) In a com. pineapple-flavored yogurt, the presence of allyl caproate [123-68-2] was detected. An attempt to identify the flavoring agents in a com. strawberry-flavored yogurt was not successful. Cinnamaldehyde propylene glycol acetal [4353-01-9] was prepd. by treating cinnamaldehyde [104-55-2] with propylene glycol [57-55-6], and was used a flavoring agent. Com. "C16-aldehyde", suspected as the flavoring agent in strawberry-flavored yogurt but not found therein, contained both cis- [19464-95-0] and trans-Et methylphenylglycidate [19464-92-7], the latter decompg. to an OH-contg. compd. during gas chromatog.
