The membrane-permeable liq. with a gum material content of 3100 ppm is then blended with an adsorbent, and deodorized to yield a purified glyceride oil suitable for food use. Thus, 27 wt.% hexane [110-54-3] micella of crude soybean oil contg. 2.18% phospholipid was ultracentrifuged through a polyimide ultrafiltration membrane contg. the repeating unit I under 3 kg/cm2 pressure at 40° with a flow rate of 14 L/min. Hexane was then distd. off the membrane-permeable liq. and 25 tons of this oil were heated to ~85°, a 75% phosphoric acid soln. was added to a final concn. of 0.05% by wt. of the oil, the oil was addnl. heated to 110°, and activated clay was added to 0.8% by wt. of the treated oil. After filtering off the clay the bleached oil was deodorized by steam stripping to yield 20 tons of purified soybean oil contg. 21.08 ppm phospholipid. The oil was stable for 3 mo in an outdoor storage tank. .
