Supplementation of diets with vitamins (ascorutin [8067-12-7], thiamin [59-43-8], riboflavin [83-88-5], pyridoxine [65-23-6], vitamin B12 [68-19-9], and folic acid [59-30-3]) only increased blood plasma Cu and Fe but led to neg. balances of these elements. When the vitamins were added in combinations with Cu, Fe, and Mn, they increased the levels of these minerals in the blood plasma as well as blood Hb and erythrocyte nos., and resulted in pos. balances of Cu, Fe, and Mn. Supplementation of diets with Fe, Cu, and Mn in combination with vitamin C [50-81-7] and glutamic acid [56-86-0] or with vitamin C and dibazol [621-72-7] was also effective for prevention of disorders of Cu and Fe metab., as well as in improvement of hematol. indexes and anemia prevention.

Optimum conditions for the extn. were established. The recovery was 99.55-103.5%.
