Safety Profile

Poison by ingestion and intraperitoneal routes. Experimental teratogenic and reproductive effects. Mutation data reported. An eye irritant. Combustible and explosive when exposed to heat or flame; can react with oxidizing materials. To fight fire, use CO₂, dry chemical. Mixtures with charcoal ignite at 350°C. Vigorous reaction with chlorine + hydrochloric acid evolves gases. When heated to decomposition it emits highly toxic fumes of NO_x.
