2. Mechanism:
1). Counter-current decanter:
2). Cleaning liquid and solid move to outlet in converse direction separately after slurry is fed into the bowl
3). Counter-current decanter is standard model and used commonly

3. Co-current decanter:
1). Cleaning liquid and solid move in same direction while slurry is fed into bowl to be separated
2). After separated, cleaning liquid move to outlet through return pipe to avoid that sludge is scoured by feeding slurry
3). Co-current decanter is commonly used to low concentration slurry which is not easy to be separated
