- Chemical Markup Language (CML) Development Site
-
Demonstrates how a XML marked up molecule (CML) can be displayed in a variety of different ways - in particular, passing structural and spectral information onto applets (JME, JMol, Marvin, SDA and JSpec). All displays are created on the fly, via the use of Javascript and XSL stylesheets. In all cases, the XML file is verified against the CML schema.
Select a XML data file and the required method of display (picks one of a number of stylesheets). See how the same data file can be displayed in a variety of different ways with a variety of applets and html. This isn't possible using standard legacy formats and plugins. There are also stylesheets provided that will convert XML to .mol, .xyz and .dx files. Additional stylesheets can be easily built and added.
Further information, examples and a CML schema are also available on this site.
