 Synthetic Method of Midazogrel
  • Synthetic Method of Midazogrel
  • Midazogrel (CAS NO.: ), with other name of , 1-(3-(phenylmethoxy)-1-octenyl)-, (E)-, could be produced through many synthetic methods.

Following is one of the reaction routes:

    Systematic Method of Midazogrel

    (I) is oxidized with chromium trioxide to produce the 3-oxooctyne (II), and the yielding product (II) could be then reacted with (III) to give (E)-1-(3-oxoocten-1-yl)imidazole (IV). Next, the compound (IV) is reduced to product (E)-1,3-hydroxyocten-1-yl)imidazole (V) with the reagent of sodium borohydride. At last, the yield is etherified with benzyl chloride (VI) to give the resultant of Midazogrel.
