  • How to eat nutritiously is certainly the most concern for the pregnant women who are at work. As they have to eat outside at lunch, their intake of nutrition tends to focus on starch food, while protein and vegetables are always insufficient. In fact, whether you eat outside or choose to take lunch by yourself, if you pay attention to the balanced collocation of the nutrition, you can meet the essential nutrition needs of your baby as well as yourself.

    There are five notices of the lunch for the pregnant women at work.

    First, keep away from fried food.
    After the food is fried at a high temperature, various nutrients contained will be severely damaged. High temperature will cause protein metamorphism and decrease its nutritional value. What's more, high temperature will also damage the fat-soluble vitamins in the food, such as vitamin A, carotene and vitamin E, thus preventing the body from absorbing and utilizing these nutrients.

    Second, reject the food with a heavy flavor.
    Pregnant women should not eat too much salty food, so as to avoid the retention of water and sodium in the body, which may raise the blood pressure or cause biped edema. What's more, other spicy and heavy flavor food should also be rejected.

    Third, eat a fruit after the meal.
    In order to make up the lack of fresh vegetables, it's better for pregnant women to eat a fruit 30 minutes after the lunch, so as to supplement the shortage of vitamins in the body. If it is inconvenient to wash the fruit at the office, you can wash it clean before you leave home every morning, and then wrap it up by plastic wrapping and bring it to the company.

    Fourth, choose the drinks carefully.
    The proper drinks for pregnant women should be mineral water or pure fruit juice. Beverage which contains caffeine or alcohol is not conducive to the pregnancy, so you'd better not choose them.

    Fifth, bring a bag of milk.
    In addition to the above four notices, pregnant women also have to supplement some food containing rich calcium. So it will be a good choice to bring milk to the office. If there is no microwave oven at the office, don't forget to choose the milk which has been sterilized by pasteurization.

    In a word, pregnancy is a special period for women, so they should pay great attention to choose appropriate food, so as to provide sufficient and balanced nutrition for their babies as well as for themselves.
