Juhua Group Corporation was founded in May 1958. Approved by the State Economic and Trade Committee, and it was transformed into an enterprise group in 1992. In 1997, Juhua was selected by the State Council as one of the 120 pilot enterprise groups in China. In March 1998 Juhua was authorized as one of the first enterprises in Zhejiang Province to manage state-owned assets. In June 1998, solely launched by Juhua Group, Zhejiang Juhua Co. Ltd. (Stock Code 600160) was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

After over 50 years of development, Juhua Group has more than 40 subsidiary companies with 15,000 staff members. It has over 100 major production units covering an area of 7.3 square kilometers. It manufactures products of more than 200 types under 17 categories, which are mainly fluoro-chemicals and basic chemical raw materials, as well as macromolecular materials, fertilizers and pesticides, pharmaceuticals, chemical mining, building materials, chemical engineering machinery, power and energy supply, etc. Based upon the chloro-alkali chemical industry and the coal chemical industry, a chemical industry chain has been formed with fluoro-chemical as its leading sector, fine chemicals, synthetic materials and technological services as its high-tech platform for new growth. It has its own dedicated railways, thermal power plants, as well as sound public utilities such as communication, water supply, environmental protection etc.

In 2008, the total sales revenue of Juhua reached RMB11.875 billion, exceeding RMB10 billion for the first time. Of the top 500 Chinese enterprises in 2009, Juhua was ranked 450th. “Juhua” trademark was recognized by State Administration for Industry and Commerce as China Well Known Trademark. It took the 100th place in “China’s 500 most valuable brands” published by the World Brand Laboratory in 2009 with RMB7.577 billion worth of brand value, the second most valuable brand in China’s chemical industry.

With its headquarters located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, production base in Quzhou, Zhejiang Province, and branch offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Hongkong, Wenzhou, Ningbo and Xiamen, Juhua has established business relations with over 200 trading firms and companies overseas. It owns a state-level enterprise technical center and a postdoctoral research center and is the supporting institution for the “National Fluoro Materials Engineering and Technology Research Center” and “Zhejiang Juhua Sino-Russian Science and Technology Park”. Juhua Group Corporation is the largest fluoro-chemical industry base in China and the largest chemical industry base in Zhejiang Province.
