ZHEJIANG CHARIOTEER PHARMACEUTICAL CO.,LTD.was established in 1988. The original name is Zhejiang Xianju Pharmaceutical Co., 3rd Factory, and Zhejiang Xianju Charioteer Pharmaceutical Factory. It is located about 10 kilometers southeast from the town of Xianju. Charioteer has branch offices in Shanghai, Jiaojiang and Jiangsu. There is also institute and trading company in Shanghai. Company has a capital more than 90 million yuan.

The main product of company is API and intermediates of antiviral drug substances and anti-inflammatory, analgesic, non-steroidal, pharmaceuticals. The output of the production of Naproxen (22204-53-1) and Acyclovir (59277-89-3) is the biggest in China. More than 95% of the products are exported to Europe, USA, Asia and twenty other countries and areas.

Chinese GMP for facilities of Naproxen, Aciclovir, Potassium iodide (7681-11-0), Ganciclovir ( 82410-32-0) and Naproxen sodium (26159-34-2) have been approved since May, 2003, and certificates have been issued by State Food and Drug Administrator. In May 2004, EDQM had carried out onsite inspection of Naproxen and issued attestation of inspection in March 2005. The COS of Acyclovir had been issued by EDQM in January 2005. In July 2004, Investigator from FDA inspected the company, and classified our facility as acceptable in Sept. The company has been inspected for “cleaner production” by Zhejiang Environmental Protection Bureau and Zhejiang Economic and Trade commission in December 2004, and has been awarded the title of “green enterprises”. The company has started out EoCM methodology introduced by the Sino-German Cooperation Program in manufacturing process in May 2004. In Nov., 2003, Charioteer had been awarded certificates for compliance with ISO9001. In Dec. 2004, Charioteer had been awarded certificates for compliance with OHSAS18001 and ISO14001 Charioteer has started to introduce SA8000 in this year.
