The structure of cylicodiscic acid, a new pentacyclic triterpene isolated from the bark of Cilicodiscus gabunensis, has been established using a 13C-13C connectivity NMR experiment (2D-INADEQUATE).The heteronuclear 1H-13C and homonuclear 1H correlated spectra were also obtained allowing a full assignment of the proton resonances of the molecule.
