Ohotolysis of ReO2(CH2CMe3)3 in pyridine gives the alkylidene complex ReO2(CH2CMe3) in 76percent yield; an X-ray crystallographic study shows ReO2(CH2CMe3) has a distorted tetrahedral structure.
