TCNE undergoes a regiospecific ene reaction with γ-alkyl (Et, Bu, i-Pr, and c-C6H11) substituted allyltrimethylsilanes via an addition to the allylic β-carbon and a hydrogen abstraction from the γ-alkyl group.
