hexane (1:6) followed by recrystallization from a mixture of CH2Cl2
and methanol afforded the 2,7-bis(9-(4-diphenylaminophenyl)an-
thracene-10-yl)-9,9-dihexylfluorene 4 (0.45 g, 75%) as a deep yellow
solid, mp >250 ꢀC; nmax (KBr) 2922,1590,1491,1384,1273,1019, 823,
