Allylsilanes were obtained by 1,4-disilylation of myrcene and epoxymyrcene.Upon treatment with a Lewis acid the epoxy allylsilane 5 was cyclized to give the hydroxylated homoallylsilane 8 with a cyclogeranyl skeleton.
