Diethyl coumarin-3-phosphonates and Diphenyl coumarin-3-phosphinyloxide are obtained in mild conditions in one step, from acetoxysalicylaldehydes and triethyl phosphonoacetate or diphenyl phosphinyloxide acetate, by the use of a liquid/liquid phase transfer porcess without catalysor.
