An improved practical synthesis of isomerically pure 3-endo-(p-methoxybenzyl)isoborneol

A synthesis of stereoisomerically pure 3-endo-(p-methoxybenzyl)-isoborneol is described which allows the preparation of this compound in multigram quantities without the need for chromatography at any stage. This represents a significant improvement over the literature method, which requires chromatographic separations at two stages of the synthesis.
