(S)-Methylphenylvinylphosphine oxide (1) undergoes facile Pd-catalyzed coupling with functionalized aryl and vinyl halides to provide new enantiomerically pure styryl and dienyl phosphine oxides including also the corresponding symmetrical and nonsymmetrical bisphosphine derivatives.
