Studies of biologically active sulfur compounds-part I: Reactions of bis(mercaptothioformylhydrazido)phthalate with some different α,β - Bifunctional compounds

The reactions of bis(mercaptothioformylhydrazido)phthalate (2) moiety with nitrogen, sulfur and / or halogen α,β - bifunctional compounds have been studied. Structures of the products have been deduced from elemental analysis and spectral data (UV, IR, ¹HNMR & mass spectra). Most of the products showed moderate activity against some bacteria.
