Remarkable acceleration was observed by use of sodium tetrakis<3,5-di(F-methyl)phenyl>borate as a negatively charged phase transfer catalyst for diazonium ion in the azo coupling reactions of aryl diazonium tetrafluoroborate with a range of diazophile components in liquid-liquid- and liquid-solid two-phase systems.Kinetics of the reactions was examined to confirm the phase transfer catalysis.
