Thermal glycosylation of alcohols with 2-deoxy-2-acetoamino-3,4,6-tri-O-acetyl-glucopyranosyl chloride at relatively lower temperature gives rise to β-glycosides selectively, whereas higher temperature favor to give α-glycosides.
