Dimethyl fumarate, 2-vinylpyridine, and acrylonitrile insert into a H-Ru bond of (1) to yield new substituted alkylruthenium(II) complexes.Methyl sorbate also reacted with 1 to give a new substituted η³-allylruthenium(II) complex.
