Nitro-cyclohexenylation and α-phenyl-nitro-allylation of nucleophilic centres are achieved (see 11-16) whith the nitroallyl pivalates 2 and 5, and with the chloride 3, which are in turn prepared from the diols 9 and 10, respectively.
