changes in HDL-C were correlated with those of plasma
h-apo-AI (data not shown).
In summary, we have identified highly potent and selec-
tive human PPARa agonists and demonstrated the
excellent pharmacological effects of (R)-36. Based on
the results of in vitro and in vivo studies, we expect that
(R)-36 would exhibit higher efficacy in patients with
dyslipidemia than currently available fibrates.
