(PPh3)2ReH7 (I) reacts thermally with propene to give the trihydridodiene complex (PPh3)2(η-CH2=CHMeCH=CHMe)ReH3 (II).In the presence of propane, the photolysis of I and II, respectively, gives the bis-allyl hydride compound (PPh3)2(η-C3H5)2ReH (III).
