tions. In the present study, the analogues were evaluated using a
(NRFꢀ2016R1A2A1A05005375) of the National Research
VEGFꢀinduced angiogenesis model rather than under hypoxia condiꢀ
tions because we hypothesized that evaluation under hypoxia condiꢀ
tions is more relevant to cancer.
(19) Similarly to wondonin, compound 6 suppresses HIFꢀ1α and
downstream targets under hypoxia conditions (see Figure S2 in the
Supporting Information). These data suggest that the mechanisms
involved in the antiꢀangiogenic activity of wondonin and its analogues
are similar.
