An investigation of the synthesis of dodecaarylporphyrins using the Suzuki coupling reaction of arylboronic acids with octabromotetraarylporphyrins is reported. Variable temperature ¹H NMR studies of these new porphyrins reveal several dynamic processes including the first examples of β-aryl rotation.
