b-CD (1 mmol) was dissolved in water of 60 °C (15 mL) and a
clear solution formed. Compound 1 (1 mmol, 0.5 mL) was added
slowly and stirred for half an hour then cooled down. The aqueous
solution of 1/b-CD was distilled under reduced pressure at room
temperature to remove the water and obtain the solid inclusion
complex. In order to make the FTIR comparison, a physical mixture
of 1 and b-CD was needed. To make the physical mixture, 1
