Using t.BuOOH with catalytic amounts of CrO3 and TsOH, regioselective α-oxidation of alkynes to conjugated ynones was observed at room temperature with yields superior to those of stoichiometric chromium procedures.Yields were slighty decreased in the absence of p.toluenesulfonic acid.
