Regarding the electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide in nonaqueous electrolytes, it has been clarified that the main products are oxalic acid at a Pb electrode and carbon monoxide at Sn and In electrodes.In the case of a Zn electrode, substantial amounts of oxalic acid, glyoxylic acid and carbon monoxide have been produced.
