An efficient synthesis of 1-allyl-1-cyano-1-alkenes and related structures

The one-pot synthesis of 1-allyl-1-cyano-1-alkenes is easily obtained from 1-allyl-1-trimethylsilylacetonitrile lithium and carbonyl derivatives via a silyl-Wittig-Peterson reaction. Other related compounds are prepared in the same manner.
