The interaction of Li2W(N-t-Bu)4 with PhSCl gave W(N-t-Bu)2(η²-PhSN-t-Bu)2 the structure of which has been determined by X-ray diffraction; reaction of Li(PhSN-t-Bu) with transition-metal halides allows the synthesis of a range of other compounds with the η²-N,S ligand.
