The title compound was prepared by the treatment of corresponding 1,1-dibromocyclopropane with lithium naphthalene radical anion (Li-C10H8).Trapping of the dilithio compound by chlorotrimethylsilane provided evidence for its highly basic profile which can compete with silylation.
