25 Organosolv pulping can be performed under autocatalytic
conditions. The deacetylation of hemicellulose decreases the
pH value of the liquor providing the acid catalyst for
solvolytic bonds cleavage (see Ref. 6 and 24c). Under the
flow conditions formed acids need to be recycled, what
theoretically is possible, but was not tested.
