Novel pyridazino[4,5-b][1,4]oxazine-3,5-diones were synthesized from N-[2-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-ethyl]-2-chloroacetamide (or 2-chloropropanamide) and 1-alkyl-5-halo-4-hydroxypyridazin-6-ones in good yield.
