catalysts for fuel cells and other electrocatalysis applications. In
this work, by modifying the morphologies and nanostructures of
employed ZnO substrates, there is still much room for further
improving the ORR catalytic activity and MEA performance. For
example, the studied CVD-derived Fe-N-C catalyst still has
relatively low surface areas (216 m2 g-1), which should be
significantly increased for hosting more active sites. Also,
graphitized carbon structure with enhanced corrosion resistance
in the CVD catalysts is highly desirable to improve stability.
