In summary, monometallic Pd/CeO2À MgO and bimetallic PtÀ Pd/
CeO2À MgO catalyst were prepared by impregnation and
sequential impregnation methods respectively. The H2-SCR
catalysts with Pd loaded over supports consist of MgO and
CeO2 in different ratio were tested for NOx removal. Pd/
CeO2À MgO (3:1) catalyst exhibits maximum NOx conversion

composition. The prepared catalysts were further tested with
different hydrogen concentrations over a broad temperature

0.8 vol% H2/Ar. It was observed that NOx conversion increases
with an increase in H2 concentration. The catalytic activity was
further tested for PtÀ Pd/CeO2À MgO catalyst, which showed the
maximum 89% NOx conversion. The bimetallic PtÀ Pd/
CeO2À MgO catalyst was more active compared to monometallic
