Glufosinate-ammonium (CAS NO.77182-82-2) is used as organophosphorus herbicides, glutamine synthetase inhibitors, non-selective tag out herbicide and as herbicide that can be applied post-emergence in noncrop areas and as a directed spray in field-grown and container nursery stock. It is nonselective and controls a broad spectrum and annual and perennial grass and broadleaf weeds.

A poison by ingestion, subcutaneous, and intraperitoneal routes. Low toxicity by skin contact. Human systemic effects by ingestion: blood pressure lowering, change in motor activity, coma, cyanosis. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic vapors of NOx and POx.
1. Storage: Keep tightly closed.
2. Personal Protection: Wear appropriate government approved respirator, chemical-resistant gloves, safety goggles, other protective clothing.
